Goldman’s Rousse to Lead New Trading Unit Catering to Insurers

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. created an insurance-focused trading team as the Wall Street bank seeks to take advantage of the sector’s rapidly changing landscape.

The Americas Insurance Solutions Group will sit within the bank’s global banking and markets business, according to a memo to staff seen by Bloomberg.

The team will be led by Jonathan Rousse, who headed the firm’s equity structured sales unit in the Americas. Rousse, a two-decade Goldman veteran, was named partner in 2020.
