Deere & Co. beat an insurance company’s bids for repayment on a policyholder’s fire-damaged tractors after a Minnesota federal court said the insurer failed to show that the tractor maker breached its warranty.
SECURA Insurance Co. was unable to prove that the tractor fires were caused by any manufacturing errors, Judge Katherine Menendez of the US District Court for the District of Minnesota wrote in a pair of related rulings Thursday.
