A Wisconsin coffee shop operator failed in its bid to get insurance payments for Covid-related business losses after the state high court ruled that the company never suffered property damage that would trigger coverage.
Colectivo Coffee Roasters, a Milwaukee-based company that owns cafes and restaurants, sued to get coverage from its insurer, Society Insurance, in 2020 after it paused in-person dining services to comply with the state-mandated closure.
