Chubb Units Met by Wary Appeals Court on NY Airport PFAS Costs

Chubb Ltd. insurers struggled to convince a federal appeals court that a policy with a New York town largely excluded coverage for PFAS contamination at a local airport designated as a Superfund site.

The insurers may be applying a pollution exclusion too broadly, Judge Joseph F. Bianco of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said during oral arguments Wednesday.
