Chubb, Kyocera Units Settle With IT Company Over Cyber Incident

IT services provider Miracle Software Systems Inc. reached confidential settlements during mediation with a Chubb Ltd. insurer and a unit of electronics manufacturer Kyocera Corp. unit over coverage for a 2023 cybersecurity incident.

An amended complaint will name Miracle Software’s excess insurers—Scottsdale Insurance Co. and Westfield Specialty Insurance Co.—and dismiss claims against Kyocera AVX Components Corp. and primary insurer ACE American Insurance Co., according to a Tuesday joint status report in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
