Chubb Insurance Unit Sued by NJ Manufacturer Over PFAS Costs (1)

A Chubb Ltd. insurance unit was hit by a lawsuit from a New Jersey-based manufacturer of specialty chemicals over the insurer’s refusal to pay for liability and remediation costs arising from PFAS contamination.

Illinois Union Insurance Co. breached its duties under a general liability insurance policy by denying coverage for costs incurred by Shamrock Technologies Inc., the manufacturer said in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
