Drug wholesaler Cencora Inc.'s commercial general liability insurers are off the hook for costs of opioid-related litigation against the company, a Delaware state court ruled.
Under Delaware case law, the damages sought in the underlying suits didn’t trigger coverage under the policies issued by a number of insurers—including units of American International Group Inc. and Hartford Financial Services Group Inc.—Delaware Superior Court Judge Meghan Adams said in a Dec. 23 ruling granting partial summary judgment to the carriers.
