Avon Insurers’ Objections Rejected by Delaware Bankruptcy Court

Beauty brand Avon Products Inc.'s London market insurers had the right to object in connection with Avon’s bankruptcy, but their objections failed on the merits, a federal bankruptcy court ruled.

The insurers were a “party in interest” in the bankruptcy case with a right to participate in the Chapter 11 confirmation process, the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware said in a June 6 opinion, citing a US Supreme Court ruling issued last year.
