Allianz Says It Hasn’t Found Failings by Leaders in Fund Blowup

Allianz SE said its own probes into the multibillion-dollar blowup of its Structured Alpha hedge funds have not found any wrongdoing by the management board so far.

“There are no findings so far of possible breaches of duty by the board of management,” Allianz said in its annual report, which was published on Friday. The company had initiated reviews and commissioned independent advisers to conduct external investigations. The various examinations were not yet concluded at the time of preparing the report, Allianz added.
