Allianz Hit With Suit in Michigan Contamination Insurance Row

An Allianz SE insurance unit owes legal defense costs to two manufacturing companies facing environmental contamination litigation, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court.

FKI Hardware Inc. and FKI Industries Inc. were sued in 2022 by the state of Michigan, which alleged that a corporate predecessor had caused environmental contamination at nine sites in or near Grand Rapids.
