AIG Wins in 7th Cir. on Insurance Coverage for Radiation Suit

American International Group Inc. units won’t have to pay for litigation against an electric transformer company after a federal appeals court affirmed a lower court’s interpretation of a radiation exclusion.

“We agree with the district court that the coverage exclusion of ‘any form of radiation’ means ‘any form of radiation,’' including the electromagnetic field radiation alleged in an underlying suit against Hammond Power Solutions Inc., the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit said in a Wednesday opinion.
