AIG Steps Up Key Profitability Targets in CEO Zaffino’s New Plan

American International Group Inc. raised key profitability targets as part of Chief Executive Officer Peter Zaffino’s new three-year plan.

The New York-based firm aims to bring its core operating return on equity to as high as 13% by 2027, according to a presentation posted on the firm’s website Monday ahead of its investor day. The firm has previously said it was on track to bring this metric above 10% in 2025, from 9.1% last year.
