AIG Must Pay $110,000 to Defense Counsel, Florida Jury Finds

A Florida jury awarded $110,000 to a lawyer who sued an American International Group Inc. unit over unpaid legal bills incurred by the insurer’s policyholder, a collectibles company hit with civil and criminal charges alleging it defrauded investors in connection with Jackie Robinson memorabilia.

The federal jury in its Monday verdict found for Lambert Law Firm PC and George Lambert on their claim for breach of implied contract but went against them on a claim for promissory estoppel.
