Unions, Health Care Industry Agree on Wage Bill in California

California health care providers and a major labor union announced an agreement Monday on a bill that would raise the minimum wage for workers in medical facilities across the state, significantly boosting prospects for passage of the measure in the final days of the legislative session.

The deal also comes with an agreement that will bring an end, for now, to a series of expensive ballot measure campaigns that sought regulate the dialysis industry.
