UFC Names New General Counsel After TKO Deal Reshuffles Law Team

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has appointed veteran media industry attorney Francisco Arias II its new general counsel, succeeding Riché McKnight, who earlier this year took over as chief legal officer for parent company TKO Group Holdings Inc., a sports and entertainment conglomerate.

Arias, whose appointment was confirmed by a UFC spokesman, didn’t respond to a request for comment about his new role. McKnight, a former litigator who has worked at Morgan Stanley and the law firm Winston & Strawn, had been UFC’s top lawyer since 2019, when he replaced Wm. Hunter Campbell in that role.
