Super Micro Names New General Counsel After Internal Probe

Super Micro Computer Inc., an information technology company that said it would appoint a new general counsel following an internal investigation last year, has tapped Yitai Hu for the role.

Hu, who was initially hired by Super Micro in November as a senior vice president of corporate development, will report directly to the company’s founder, president, and CEO Charles Liang. Super Micro said in a statement that Hu’s promotion is a sign of its “ongoing work to expand its in-house legal department to better align with the size and complexity of the organization.”
