One of the first securities suits stemming from 2025 market volatility has hit a major holder of 1-800-Flowers stock, claiming the investment fund improperly profited from trading within a six-month span.
Fund 1 Investments LLC is a 1-800-Flowers.com insider because it owns more than 10% of the company’s stock, investor Dennis J. Donoghue says on behalf of the company. The fund sold Class A common shares on Nov. 4, 2024, according to the complaint, filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
