State Pay Transparency, Data Laws Boost Corporate Liability Risk

New and more expansive state laws are exposing companies to greater risk of litigation related to alleged discrimination in the hiring process if they don’t prioritize compliance.

Pay transparency and pay data reporting are two areas where state legislatures have been particularly active recently, Jay Wang, a partner at Fox, Wang & Morgan PC, said Thursday at a conference hosted by DirectEmployers in Chicago.
