Adam Herbst joined Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton as a health-care partner in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.

Herbst specializes in health-care policy, Medicaid reform, and corporate governance, the firm said.

Most recently, he was the New York State Department of Health’s Deputy Commissioner for Aging and Long-Term Care.
