Sanctioned Texas Attorney’s Opponent Asks for Appeal Dismissal

Renesas Electronics America Inc. told the Federal Circuit that reviewing a California judge’s sanction and attorney fees orders against patent attorney Bill Ramey and his colleagues would be premature because the rulings aren’t final.

Ramey, Susan Kalra and Jeff Kubiak and their client Koji are still challenging the March orders and the judge’s authority to issue them within the US District Court for the Northern District of California, Renesas said in a Wednesday motion to dismiss filed in the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
