Sabre, Farelogix Say U.S. Manipulated Merger Appeal Process

The Justice Department’s attempt to nix a recent court opinion approving the now-abandoned merger between travel companies Sabre Corp. and Farelogix Inc. should be dismissed because the government has “manipulated” the judicial process, attorneys for the companies said.

A DOJ has presented a “misleadingly incomplete” and “skewed recitation of the facts,” and so its request to vacate a district court opinion in favor of the $360 million merger isn’t appropriate, Sabre and Farelogix told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in a May 22 filing.
