Rolls-Royce Taps Unilever’s Top Lawyer to Replace Longtime GC

Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC will soon have a new law department leader in Maria Varsellona, who has spent the past four years as chief legal officer and company secretary for consumer products conglomerate Unilever PLC.

Varsellona announced Tuesday via LinkedIn she will become the legal chief at Rolls-Royce as of March 1. She’s set to replace the UK-based aerospace giant’s longtime general counsel Mark Gregory, who in his own post to the professional networking platform said the company’s executive and legal teams will be in “very safe hands” with Varsellona after the transition.
