Republicans Ask Watchdog to Review Error in Seating NLRB Member

Top Republicans on the House and Senate labor committees have asked the Government Accountability Office to review whether NLRB member David Prouty (D) took any significant action before his presidential commission was signed last year.

In a letter Tuesday, House Education and Labor Committee ranking member Virginia Foxx and Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee ranking member Richard Burr, both North Carolina Republicans, asked the legislative branch’s watchdog to review Prouty’s actions during a 25-day period after he was sworn in but before his presidential commission was signed.
