Palantir Legal Chief’s 2025 Pay Package Increased to $28 Million

Software maker Palantir’s top lawyer saw his compensation more than double to about $28 million last year, according to a company filing.

Ryan Taylor, who holds a dual role as Palantir Technologies Inc.’s chief revenue officer and chief legal officer, brought in $11.8 million in 2024 and $5.6 million in 2023, according to a proxy statement filed Friday. Taylor, a former Covington & Burling LLP associate, has been in his current set of positions since 2023. He joined Palantir in 2010 and was named its chief legal and business affairs officer a decade later when the company went public.

One of Palantir’s most notable legal battles last year came in October, when the company sued former employees for allegedly creating a “copycat” competitor. A judge ruled in February those former workers had likely violated confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements, but didn’t order a halt to their work at the new company.

Stock awards composed the majority of Taylor’s 2025 compensation package. His base salary was $442,925.

Taylor was one of only two named executive officers to receive new stock awards last year and the year before, according to Palantir’s proxy. The company awarded the shares “in an effort to retain and incentivize” Taylor and to keep him “appropriately motivated.”
