Mexico has proposed to extend the USMCA trade agreement for 16 years, according to a letter from the country’s Economy Ministry sent the to US and Canada trade representatives.
- Continuing this economic growth will only be possible by providing certainty to investors who seek market strength, Mexico says in the letter
- “Mexico’s position is to extend the treaty for another 16 years and pursue agreements that benefit all three nations”
