Carlos Ortiz retired after 35 years as vice president and general counsel at Goya Foods, and Jesús Vázquez was appointed as the new general counsel, the company announced Monday.
Ortiz worked as an auditor, tax consultant, law clerk, and litigator before joining Goya in 1989, where he safeguarded the company’s legal rights and advised on various legal matters. Vázquez spent seven years in the aerospace industry before transitioning into law.
Before joining Goya as assistant general counsel in 2022, Vázquez served as outside counsel for the company and held leadership roles at several other firms.
