‘It’s Unrelenting’: Why Today’s CEOs Are So Burned Out

A few months after Dustin Moskovitz stepped down as head of work management platform Asana Inc. last summer, he said out loud what a lot of other chief executive officers seem to be thinking these days: The role had been exhausting. He’d expected the job to eventually get easier as the company matured, but instead, the world had only grown more chaotic. He didn’t feel as though he was building something anymore but only reacting to one crisis after another, each beyond his control.
