Less than 40% of audit leaders believe their companies have the right internal processes to detect AI-enabled fraud, a report being released Tuesday found.
Those surveyed said team work and learning new skills were key to getting their organizations prepared to tackle AI-enabled fraud.
“A critical first step is leveraging existing AI knowledge across the organization to identify gaps, anticipate how bad actors may exploit AI, and determine where focused training is needed,” the report by the Internal Audit Foundation and AuditBoard found. More than 370 specialists at North American companies were surveyed for the report.
