Fidelity National Makes Gregg Sofer Deputy Chief Legal Officer

Fidelity National Financial, Inc., a provider of title insurance and transaction services, has appointed Gregg N. Sofer as executive vice president, deputy chief legal officer, and chief compliance officer.

Sofer brings over 30 years of legal experience, including serving as U.S. attorney for the Western District of Texas and in various roles at the Department of Justice, Fidelity said Thursday He has also worked in private practice, most recently at Husch Blackwell, where he specialized in compliance matters, white collar defense, and internal investigations.

Sofer succeeds Paul Perez, who is retiring after serving in the role since 2007.
