Fannie Mae Veteran Lawyer Klein Named Acting General Counsel

Fannie Mae said Friday that it was promoting Tom Klein to acting general counsel, replacing Danielle McCoy.

Klein has served in legal leadership roles at the Federal National Mortgage Association for 20 years, most recently as enterprise deputy general counsel, responsible for providing counsel on various matters including corporate tax strategy, mortgage products, and capital markets.

The government-sponsored company also said it was promoting Jake Williamson to acting head of single-family, replacing Malloy Evans. Williamson brings nearly two decades of leadership experience within the business, playing a key role across servicing, risk management, operations, and analytics.
