Thousands of qualifying private employers will be required to submit workplace diversity data to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission by July 19, a new deadline imposed after the agency delayed the collection due to the pandemic.
The agency announced Monday it will begin collection of the annual worker demographic survey, known as the EEO-1, on April 26. Collection of the data, which is broken down by race, sex, ethnicity, and job group, was halted last year to give eligible businesses greater leeway as they coped with virus-induced economic disruption.
