Delaware Joins State Privacy Wave With New Consumer Data Law

Delaware is the latest state to grant consumers more rights over how businesses collect and use their data under a law signed Monday by Gov. John Carney (D).

The state joins numerous others that have enacted bills this year to boost consumer data privacy. The laws largely offer similar privacy rights, such as the right to know what personal information a company is collecting and the right to correct that data.
