Companies should find ways to reward employees for engaging in ethical behavior, not just for pushing profits higher, a US Justice Department official said.
“We expect companies to find innovative, effective, and targeted ways to use compensation to incentivize good corporate behavior and deter misconduct, using their own mix of carrots and sticks,” Marshall Miller, principal associate deputy attorney general, said in a speech Tuesday.
