Chip Designer Cadence Hires New Legal Chief From Arista

Cadence Design Systems Inc., a provider of tools used by engineers to make chips that enhance the power of generative artificial intelligence, has hired Marc Taxay as its new top lawyer.

Taxay joined the chip design software maker after more than a dozen years as general counsel for Arista Networks Inc. Taxay resigned from Arista as of May 7, according to a securities filing by the computer networking company. Cadence then added Taxay’s online biography to the leadership page of its website.
