Avala Global Names Andrew Genser GC, Chief Compliance Officer

Investment manager Avala Global LP said Tuesday that it has appointed Andrew Genser as its general counsel and chief compliance officer.

Genser brings over 30 years of legal experience across investment management, private practice, and public service, the firm said. He previously worked with Avala’s founder and chief investment officer, Divya Nettimi, at Viking Global Investors LP. At Viking, Genser served as general counsel and was a member of the management committee.

In his new role, he will oversee Avala’s legal, compliance, communications, and technology functions.
