AMC Board Wins Dismissal Against Investor Alleging False Claims

A federal court dismissed a stockholder’s suit against AMC’s board in light of those directors settling a different case related to their acquisition of Carmike Cinemas.

John Lyon brought the action in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York against AMC CEO Adam Aron and thirteen other current and former executives, alleging the group misled investors and violated their fiduciary duty during the company’s second public offering.
