23andMe Research Institute Names Legal Head, Chief Risk Officer

23andMe Research Institute, a nonprofit genetic research organization, announced the appointment of John McLeod as general counsel and chief risk officer Tuesday.

McLeod previously spent over 18 years at pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, most recently as chief international counsel overseeing major legal matters. He played a key role supporting Pfizer’s rollout of over 2 billion doses of their COVID-19 vaccine worldwide. McLeod worked in leadership roles in locations such as London, Tokyo, and Madrid during his Pfizer tenure.
