President Donald Trump hit back against sanctuary city advocates trying to halt mass deportation raids in Chicago on Wednesday, contending their theory of unconstitutionality is baseless.

The president’s rebuttal came before the suing organizations moved to withdraw their bid for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction later on Wednesday. The plaintiff groups said that the “status quo has changed” since the immigration raids have already commenced, shifting the scope of any relief they may be entitled to.
