Mexico, US Agree to More Joint Work in Fight Against Cartels (1)

Mexico and the US agreed to increase cooperation to combat criminal organizations involved in the international drug trade, a key demand from President Donald Trump for the Latin American nation.

The countries published a joint statement Wednesday in which they pledged to continue working together to dismantle drug cartels and coordinate a high-level working group that will meet regularly. The working group will follow up on commitments including measures to counter cartels, stop arms trafficking, and target money laundering, it added.
