Mayors Implore Biden for US Help With Record Influx of Migrants

Mayors facing an influx of migrants from the US-Mexico border into their cities are imploring federal officials for more help during meetings in Washington this week.

Some 175 mayors visiting Washington are meeting with President Joe Biden on Friday, when immigration reform is among the top issues many mayors plan to emphasize.

Many of them also met with Biden administration officials in a closed-door session on Wednesday at the US Conference of Mayors winter meeting to discuss the record number of people crossing the border to request asylum.
