The Biden administration is pressing a Georgia federal court to reconsider how broadly a preliminary injunction issued this week applies to new regulations granting labor rights to foreign farmworkers.
That injunction blocked enforcement of a rule that extends workplace organizing protections like a ban on anti-union captive audience meetings to farmworkers on H-2A nonimmigrant visas. The order, which applies only to the 17 GOP-led states that challenged the rule, effectively creates two enforcement systems for those that sued and the rest of the country.
