HCL Workers Settle Lawsuit Alleging Company Favors South Asians

HCL Technologies Ltd. and HCL America Inc. have settled a lawsuit with two men who allege the companies hire mostly South Asian and Indian workers, including by exploiting the U.S. government’s H-1B and L-1 visa programs, California federal court records show.

The Indian multinational technology company, its U.S. subsidiary, Gregory Handloser, and Cerafin Castillo notified the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California Sept. 24 that they “reached a settlement in principle” in the case.
