Rhode Island Governor Wants Masks On Everyone 2 And Up (1)

Employers in Rhode Island must require workers to wear masks starting Saturday to slow the spread of the coronavirus or they may later face penalties, Gov. Gina Raimondo announced Tuesday.

The order applies to all workers in open businesses, including offices and retail stores. Employers must provide masks, which can be any cloth covering, Raimondo (D) said. The governor signed an executive order with details about the new mandate.

Retail stores must post signs telling customers that everyone aged 2 and older must wear a mask, Raimondo said.
