A California food company has been enjoined from manufacturing and distributing adulterated products in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, according to the Justice Department Wednesday.
Cali Rice Valley Inc., alongside its general manager and co-owner, Cuong T. Do, allegedly failed to properly conduct a hazard analysis or establish and implement preventive controls. This left the food products at risk of contamination with disease-causing bacteria, said the agency.
The company agreed to settle the suit and be bound by a consent decree of permanent injunction.
