Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon (R) violated a doctor’s free-speech rights by firing him from a state board for expressing an opinion in favor of a gender-affirming care ban for minors, the doctor told a federal appeals court.
Physician Frederick Cubin urged the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit Wednesday to reinstate him to the Wyoming Medical Board, a state entity that oversees doctors licensed to practice in the state. A lower court incorrectly denied him a preliminary order that would have returned him to his seat on the panel before trial, Cubin said in a filing.
