Wyoming Abortion Opponents Lose Out on Chance to Defend Bans

Wyoming courts will have to decide on the validity of two anti-abortion statutes without input from advocates and lawmakers, the state’s top court said.

State attorneys adequately represented the interests of Right to Life of Wyoming Inc. and state representatives Rachel Rodriguez-Williams (R) and Chip Neiman (R) in defending two laws that ban nearly all abortions in the state, the Wyoming Supreme Court said Feb. 2, in rejecting their motions to intervene.
