Wrong Address Costs Hawaii Doctor Medicare Billing Privileges

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services didn’t act arbitrarily or capriciously when it revoked a Hawaii anesthesiologist’s Medicare enrollment and billing privileges, a federal court in Hawaii said.

The CMS was authorized to revoke Wendell Foo’s Medicare privileges after finding he listed a mailbox address as the place where he provides services on a Medicare application form, the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawaii said Sept. 23.
