Warren Pushes Hegseth to Detail Troop Impact of Medicaid Cuts

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), a top Armed Services Democrat, is pressing Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth to detail which US military bases are near hospitals at risk from Medicaid cuts as a result of last year’s Republican tax-and-spending bill.

“New research indicates that service members and their families who rely on care from civilian hospitals nearby military bases may face new problems with access to health care” due to the cuts made as part of the reconciliation bill, Warren wrote in a March 9 letter released on Wednesday.
