Walmart Gets Partial Win in Opioid Crisis Suit Brought by US (1)

A federal judge dismissed two charges alleging Walmart Inc. helped fuel the national opioid crisis, but denied the retailer’s motion to dismiss a third charge brought by the US government.

The retail giant, which is one of the country’s largest pharmacy chains with more than 5,000 pharmacies at its retail stores nationwide, was sued by the Department of Justice in December 2020.
