Abortion providers in Virginia will be asking a federal appeals court to overturn a decision that approved several state restrictions on the procedure, including one mandating a 24-hour waiting period.
Falls Church Medical Center LLC, Whole Woman’s Health Alliance, and Virginia League for Planned Parenthood filed a notice of appeal Nov. 29, telling the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia that they plan to take their case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
